Paleo Ballpark Yellow Mustard, A Condiment for Hotdogs

When we grill, we love to cook some American classics like hotdogs and hamburgers and nothing goes better with hotdogs and hamburgers like Paleo Ballpark Yellow Mustard and Paleo Ketchup! It’s hard to find either pre-made, so you’ll be happy to know that this recipe takes just minutes to make and tastes JUST like French’s Yellow Mustard…yes, even a little tangy.

Well, it’s the weekend and its actually supposed to be nice. I’d like to get out in the garden and do a little housework, but if all goes well, I hope we can get some beach time in and then do some grilling! Or maybe use this recipe again and grill some hotdogs and hamburgers! In the summer, I feel like I could eat grilled food every single day. Something about that flavor always reminds me of being at my parent’s house, enjoying the pool, smelling the fresh cut grass…or going to a Cardinal’s Baseball game with my dad – who is a super fan. Good memories…that’s what food is all about.

Paleo Ballpark Yellow Mustard

3 Tbsp ground Mustard Powder

4 Tbsp Water

3 Tbsp Coconut Vinegar

½ tsp Arrowroot Powder

¼ tsp Coarse Sea Salt

1/8 tsp ground Turmeric

pinch Garlic Powder

pinch ground Paprika

1/8 tsp raw Honey

Combine all ingredients. In a small saucepan, heat the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring until the desired consistency is reached.

Once the mustard has started to set (which won’t take long at all), take it off the heat. Let it sit for a minute uncovered, then cover and let cool. I like to stir it occasionally so it stays smooth.

This recipe is Vegan!

Makes about 1 cup

Perfect for hotdogs and hamburgers! Not feeling yellow mustard? Try our Paleo Ranch Dip or Paleo Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce…Just like Chick-fil-A, but Paleo!
