Paleo Berry Frozen Yogurt, A Frozen Dessert

This recipe for Paleo Berry Frozen Yogurt is refreshing, creamy and fresh made only with berries…just like Yonanas. You know, Yoananas. Well, if you don’t know, Yonanas is a product that is made by Dole and it comes with a little machine that makes frozen yogurt out of bananas. I want to address this because I want you all to know that you do not have to buy this machine. You can actually easily make this without – either freeze and then food process, or food process and then freeze. It’s just that easy. I will tell you, some things, you should spend the money (like a great food processor with a slicing blade), but for this, it makes no sense. We’ve put together a quick recipe, just to show you how easy it is!

I know that I, for one, am going to let out a big sigh of relief today, because we have finally turned in all of the collateral for our book! Well, we still have the cover to deal with, but everything else is finished! That is certainly exciting, as I feel like it is the only thing I’ve done after work for the last couple of months. I know that Angel is probably jumping for joy, as now I won’t be such a monster!

Anyway, this weekend was great. The sun came out, we took Chance to the beach, had our friends, Chip and Kristin over for a nice evening of wine and food, then Sunday, we celebrated our 3rd Anniversary! It feels like we’ve known each other forever, but just met. We hung out, went to the beach, saw a movie and had a really relaxed day. Exactly what I was hoping for! I feel like when we are both stressed, it puts a lot of negative energy in our relationship, so it feels good to get back to each other after all that work!

Recipe: Paleo Berry Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients

  • 2 Bananas
  • ½ cup Strawberries
  • ½ cup Blueberries
  • ¼ cup Blackberries

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the bananas and freeze. Add the frozen bananas, hulled strawberries, blueberries and blackberries to a food processor and blend until you have broken up most of the chunks and the mixture has the consistency of ice cream.
  2. If you’d prefer, you can just blend all ingredients and then add it to your ice cream maker and follow the instructions of your machine. Either way, it makes easy, healthy frozen yogurt!
