This Paleo Cinnamon Raisin Almond Butter is made with creamy almond butter, raw honey, raisins, cinnamon and sea salt…that’s it! And may be one of the most delicious treats we’ve come up with yet. The sweetness of the honey, nuttiness of the almonds and that little pinch of sea salt just perfectly balance each other. We usually eat this stuff with a spoon…like gluttons…in the dark while watching something smutty (like the Bachelorette)…both of us! Actually, Angel got me started on it, so I blame him completely! Haha! Sometimes, you just gotta cut lose and just have a good time, not working and just relaxing and making fun of some really smutty television.
So while I was in Chicago either working or with my parents, Angel was in Baltimore working on the new Tratify brand. After that, he flew to Nashville to meet with Steve Case (AOL), for an entrepreneurs round table. Pretty cool that he gets to rub elbows with such powerful people in the tech world. But, wait, there’s more! The travels continue! And this week, he’s off to Miami to meet with HBO to pitch… So happy thoughts and good vibes this week if you think about it! I’m so proud of him for being such a hard worker and following his dreams and for being a daily inspiration to be better. Such a lucky girl to have him in my life!
Recipe: Cinnamon Raisin Almond Butter
- 1 cup Almond Butter*
- ¼ cup raw Honey
- 2/3 cups Thompson Raisins
- 1 ½ tsp ground Cinnamon
- ½ tsp Coarse Sea Salt
- *We like to use the no-stir creamy kind. That way, it isn’t too oily and it is easy to incorporate the ingredients (or make our own), but that’s just us. We’ve found that Barney Butter is an absolute dream!
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until well incorporated. TRUST US when we say to add the sea salt. It sounds strange, but it REALLY makes a great difference in the way this tastes! Totally worth it!
- This recipe is Vegan!
