Paleo Caribbean Jerk BBQ Sauce, An Island Seasoned Dressing

YAY for Sundays! We had a big brunch with our Paleo Pancakes and later, we’ll grill it up! This is just a great time of year. Football season is kicking in and I couldn’t be more excited! It makes me think of game-time foods that I love like wings, chilidogs, fries, and pizza. So we are going to try to think of some great foods and appetizers that will wow your friends and family for those game-day get-togethers!

Everyone likes wings. I really don’t know anyone who doesn’t. We like to grill or oven bake ours and serve in a variety of sauces. My friends all love Buffalo Wild Wings Caribbean Jerk recipe, so I made a Paleo version that we can all enjoy this football season. I hope you enjoy it too! GO COLTS! (and Jags/Giants for Angel ;)

Paleo Caribbean Jerk BBQ

2 Tbsp Walnut Oil

2 Green Onions (white and light green part only)

½ cup Ketchup

1 Tbsp Sugar (raw)

1 ½ Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

1 Tbsp White Vinegar (or use 2 Tbsp Coconut Vinegar if you don’t do Vinegar)

1 Tbsp Hot Sauce (like Sriracha)

1 tsp Coconut Aminos (or wheat free Tamari if you do a little soy)

1 tsp Lime Juice

1 tsp Coconut Flour (or Arrowroot Powder)

½ tsp Cayenne Pepper

½ tsp Parsley (dried)

½ tsp Onion Flakes

¼ tsp Garlic Powder

¼ tsp Thyme (dried)

¼ tsp Ground Ginger

pinch (my pinch = ½ of 1/8 tsp) Ground Clove

pinch Nutmeg

pinch Allspice

pinch Sage

Sea Salt and Pepper (to taste, about ½ tsp each)

Add all ingredients to a blender or Bullet (my favorite!). Blend and serve over our Chicken Wings for a game night favorite!
