These Paleo Baked Kale Chips are crispy and have a bright seasoning. They say in the South that cooked leafy greens are good luck on the New Year and represent folded money. So we’re starting our New Year off right with a variation to the old adage…some crispy money greens! Ours will represent crispy, new dollars! And who doesn’t love these?! Good for New Years or anytime snacks…we dare you to eat just one!
With the new year, we’ve got some definite goals in mind for ourselves and the site! We’re going to plan to write some blog articles on Paleo and natural living, send out Newsletters, and maybe, start writing another book. Ambitious, but I think totally doable! We’ll see how this miraculous year unfolds!
Paleo Baked Kale Chips
½ bag Kale (about 4 cups, cut into small pieces)
1 ½ tsp Paleo Adobo Seasoning
¼ tsp Onion Powder
1/8 tsp ground Cayenne Pepper
½ Tbsp Sesame Oil
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix the Paleo Adobo Seasoning, onion powder, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Set aside.
Break the kale into bite sized pieces and dry the kale on the paper towels. Put the kale in a bowl. Drizzle the oil over the kale and mix thoroughly. I like to use gloves because it’s easier to clean up.
Then season the oil coated kale with the seasoning.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the kale out on the baking sheet.
Bake for 12-25 minutes (I take them out around 17 minutes because I like them crispy, but with a little chew), or until the edges of the kale turns brown.
