Well, it’s the weekend and its actually supposed to be nice. I’d like to get out in the garden and do a little housework, but if all goes well, I hope we can get some beach time in and then do some grillin!
When we grill, we love to cook some American classics like hotdogs and hamburgers. And nothing goes better with hotdogs and hamburgers like ketchup and mustard. I’ve seen quite a few Paleo Ketchups out there, but I can’t seem to find any Paleo mustard, so I usually make my own. This recipe takes just minutes to make and tastes JUST like French’s Yellow Mustard…yes, even a little tangy.
Ballpark Yellow Mustard
3 Tbsp Dry Ground Mustard
4 Tbsp Water
3 Tbsp Coconut Vinegar
½ tsp Arrowroot Powder
¼ tsp Sea Salt
1/8 tsp Turmeric
pinch Garlic Powder
1/8 tsp Honey
Combine all ingredients. In a small saucepan, heat the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring until the desired consistency is reached.
Once the mustard has started to set (which won’t take long at all), take it off the heat. Let it sit for a minute uncovered, then cover and let cool. I like to stir it occasionally so it stays smooth.
