Paleo BBQ Grilled Chicken Breast, A Healthy, Fast Dinner Idea

So we just helped our friends at 3rd Street Crossfit, Powered by Diesel, move into a temporary place until their new gym is done and I have to say, there is something really cool about having such a strong core group that everyone shows up to help move. …gym equipment… heavy gym equipment… and flooring. I have to say, if you live in the Jacksonville FL area, you need to try this place; the community is just awesome.

For this recipe, there are 2 techniques to for grilling, one for thawed chicken and one for frozen. It is going to sound odd that you would cook the thawed and frozen chicken for the same amount of time, but it works. Trust me, Angel knows what he is doing with chicken ;)

Grilled Chicken

Chicken Breasts

Adobo Seasoning

Sauce of your Choice

Preheat the grill to high heat. Both techniques are done with an open grill as well.

Thawed Chicken:

Season the chicken with adobo. You just want to lightly dust the meat on both sides.

Cook for 5 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes. Then add the sauce, flip and cook for 10 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook for 5 more minutes. You can add a little more sauce to the end as well. Serve.

Frozen Chicken:

Cook for 10 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes. Then add the seasoning (again, lightly dust the meat on both sides) and sauce, flip and cook for 5 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook for 5 more minutes. You can add a little more sauce to the end as well. Serve.
