Paleo Chinese 5-Spice Sauce, A Great Grill Marinade or BBQ Dressing

So I wanted to do an all inclusive vacation for Angel’s birthday, but its raining and crappy in FL and I just don’t want to waste it on a rainy weekend, so I’m thinking of something he’d like to do. Next weekend, we’re going to see his favorite band, Keane play in Nashville. Trying to find something fun to do in Nashville is like pulling out teeth, so if you are from there and have ideas, send them our way! We’ll be there from the 21-24!

Spanish word of the day: la música (music)

This is a delicious sauce that really tastes delicious on chicken or pork and even better if you put it on the grill (the honey caramelizes nicely). It’s a little sweet, and as usual, spicy. If you don’t like the spicy, omit some or all of the Arbol chili peppers. And what else is great? No cooking required, which saves us time!

Chinese 5-Spice Sauce

3 Garlic cloves

3 Tbsp Coconut Aminos (or Wheat-free Tamari)

½ tsp Sesame Oil

¼ tsp Chinese 5-Spice

½ tsp Coconut Vinegar

2 tsp Honey

2 Tbsp Ketchup

¼ cup Grapeseed Oil

6-8 Arbol Chili Peppers

Blend all ingredients in a blender (or Bullet! My favorite) until smooth.

Try it on our Pork Tenderloin, Chicken Wings, Pulled Pork or Chicken Tenders!
