If you follow us at all, you know my obsession with this time of year. I love the holidays…and not for the presents, or the travelling, but for the food and family. I really am one of those nerds that just love to cook all day for a big group of people, plop down on the sofa, watch football and eat all day. I know, I shouldn’t say that, but with all of our delicious fall Paleo recipes, I really can do just that! I just can’t get over how much we love being Paleo – makes the holidays a lot less nerve-wracking!
This recipe is an old favorite for the holidays. When I lived up north, we used to make this to keep us warm, but now I make it because it reminds me of being home for the holidays (8 more days!!). I’ve put some alcoholic options with it – as we usually like to bend a little and have a drink or two when hanging with the family. Its delicious without though. If you would like to learn more about which alcohols are better for you than others (based on ingredients and process per Paleo), check out our just-in-time-for-the-holidays Paleo Alcohol Guide!
