I am very excited today because it is our very first Crossfit class! Turns out, we have neighbors that run a gym down the street from where we live. Angel tried it the other day and really loved it, so we’re both going to start going. I’m excited because Angel is not generally enthusiastic about working out, but he really liked this class. I’m hoping it’s as good as he makes it out to be!
Anyway, we love this recipe. The sauce has a slight kick to it (as a lot of our foods do), so if you don’t like spice, leave out the arbol chilis. If you like more spice, I’d add 5 total. I like a little snap, which is why I like 4 – it contrasts nicely with the cold fish (if you use it in our Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl) and really pairs perfectly. Hope you enjoy!
Recipe: Paleo Sesame Poke Sauce
- 4 Tbsp Coconut Aminos (or wheat-free Tamari)
- ½ Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbsp Coconut Vinegar
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 4 tsp Coconut Crystals (or Honey)
- 4 dried Arbol Chile Peppers
- ¼ tsp Ginger
- Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until thoroughly incorporated.
