Paleo Spicy Honey BBQ Sauce, A Dressing for Pork or Chicken

Today is the first day of my 6 day vacation to nowhere. My sister Jennifer is coming to town, so I thought I would get a jump start on things, take the day off and get some things done! I’ve been cleaning and sparkling things all day…except for the hour I went to the beach…but who could blame me, it was gorgeous! Anyway, I am really excited to have my sister in town to visit, it’s really nice to see family!

This recipe is SOOOOOO good with chicken and pork. I mean, just ridiculous. It is my favorite BBQ sauce yet! It is sweet, but not too sweet. It has a cool balsamic, but a heat from the peppers that is just fantastic. If you like heat, then I suggest doing 8 peppers. You’ll be surprised how the honey calms the fire from the peppers. Just wonderful.

Spicy Honey BBQ Sauce

¼ cup Ketchup

2 Tbsp Honey

2 ½ Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar (or 1 ½ Tbsp Coconut Aminos + 1 Tbsp Coconut Vinegar)

1 Tbsp Coconut Crystals (Agave or raw Sugar)

2 tsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Chili Powder

1 tsp Garlic Powder

½ tsp Sea Salt

¼ cup Olive Oil

8 Arbol Chili Peppers

Blend all ingredients in a blender (or Bullet!) until smooth. Letting this sit overnight will increase the intensity of the peppers – so if you don’t want to use it right away, then you may want to consider decreasing the amount of arbols.

This is SO DELICIOUS with our Pork Ribs or Grilled Chicken Breast!!
