Angel finally quit his full time job to work for himself (the Logica), so we are on celebration mode. I think its nice to have a little cheat every now and then, so today, we’re having afternoon Sangrias along with our Paleo Steak & Salsa Wraps with Guacamole. We really don’t think that this is too bad, considering its just really grapes and fruit, but for those of you trying to loose weight, bear in mind that it’s a cheat because of the alcohol and sugars, not because of ingredients.
This recipe is great because it doesn’t need any additional added sugars (a lot of white sangrias add even more sugars than what the wine already has). It tastes refreshing and is perfect on a warm sunny day by the pool. Just add ice!
White Citrus Sangria
1 bottle Pinot Grigio
½ bottle Spumante
1 pint Blueberries
Wash the fruit, slice the lemons and de-stem the blueberries. Put the pinot grigio, blueberries and lemons into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Just before serving, add the spumante for a little bubbly pick up. I recommend this, as if you add it too early, it will go flat and ruin the effect.
