This Paleo White Citrus Sangria recipe is great because it doesn’t need any additional added sugars to taste great (a lot of white sangrias add even more sugars than what the wine already has). It tastes refreshing and is perfect on a warm sunny day by the pool. Just add ice!
Angel finally quit his full time job to work for himself (the Logica LLC), so we are on celebration mode. I think its nice to have a little cheat every now and then, so today, we’re having afternoon Sangrias along with our Paleo Steak & Salsa Wraps with Guacamole. We really don’t think that this is too bad, considering its just really grapes and fruit, but for those of you trying to loose weight, bear in mind that it’s a cheat because of the alcohol and sugars, not because of ingredients.
Paleo White Citrus Sangria
1 bottle Pinot Grigio
½ bottle Prosecco or Spumante
1 pint Blueberries
1″ chunk fresh Ginger
Wash the fruit, slice the lemons and de-stem the blueberries. Put the pinot grigio, blueberries, lemons, and ginger (peeled, but left in one big chunk) into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Just before serving, add the prosecco or spumante for a little bubbly pick up. I recommend adding this later, just before serving, as if you add it too early, it will go flat and not only taste different, but it will be texturally different as well. Different = not as good.
