Paleo Taco Salad, A Healthy and Fast Dinner Idea

Let me start by saying that I think these would be really good wraps too, but I didn’t have lettuce that I hadn’t already cut, so we made a Taco Salad out of ours. Either way, I think this recipe is fantastic. Angel cleaned his plate completely, which always makes me feel good :) I’m going to have a hard time following that up tonight!!

Paleo Taco Salad

1 lb ground Meat (in the image, we used Turkey, but Beef would be great also)

Taco Seasoning (use all of it if you like it strong, use some to taste if not – we use all)

¼ – ½ cup Water (depending on if you like your meat juicy – we use a little over ¼ cup)

Jalapeño Salsa



Cook the meat over medium-high heat. When its done (will no longer have any pink color to it), drain the grease and put the meat back on the stove.  Then add the water and the spices and mix until the you have reached your desired consistency (more water = juicier meat, more spices = spicier meat. We like 1/4 cup + almost all of the spices from the linked recipe).

Either cut the lettuce into strips or use it as a wrap and layer: meat, tomatoes, salsa. Enjoy!
